Poole & Co Solicitors, who have incorporated Baker & Duke from Ilminster, have pledged their future to the town after securing the national Law Society’s Lexcel accolade, which marks the firm out as reaching high management standards.
The firm, which also has offices in Crewkerne and London, says it wants to play a more prominent role in the community of Ilminster and will be rolling out a series of charity events, beginning with a Jeans for Genes day event at the firm this Friday, October 7, to raise money for children who suffer from genetic disorders.
Poole & Co partner Peter North said: “Poole & Co has a positive part to play in Ilminster. We see ourselves as being more than a solicitors’ firm.
“Solicitors are part of the local community, and have an understanding of the issues affecting local people and a role to play in galvanising the community to pull together for a good cause.
“Ilminster has a lot going for it, and we will ensure that we continue to support the town as Baker & Duke have done for many years, and though the trend for many businesses is to gravitate towards London we see our base in Ilminster and Crewkerne, where we will constantly strive to serve our clients well.
“Gaining Lexcel carries a benefit for our clients. They will receive excellent client care service and know their case is being dealt with to the highest standards in legal practice.”
Law Society president John Wootton said: “Poole & Co’s achievement of gaining Lexcel accreditation proves a commitment to the continual development of the practice’s management standards.”
